I ride an 06 1200C and use 92 octane from Phillips 66 where they have a dedicated hose for each octane rating.

I have no problem following the manufacturers recommendations. I figure they're smarter about matters like this than I am.

I use to run 89 octane when it was an 883 but since the conversion I use 93 octane.

I can only get 93 in Georgia too. I figure I only have a 3 1/2 gallon tank anyway so why not spend $9 a gallon...not really, more like $3.20. I run 89 in my car though.
