Default Cycle Gear tourpacks, who has one and how is it?

Looking into getting one of their harley type tourpacks, since I will only be adding it for long trips or if wife is going along, which rarely she does. They look good and are just over a hundred bucks and comes with mounts, locking hardware and 2 piece back rest. Just would like to hear how well they are made and if they do well.

Got a link? I am looking at buying a leather tourpack off of a Road King and making it detachable. I am thinking leather since I won't have to worry about painting it to match or anything and it will still look good being leather.

I bought 1 off ebay recently after searcing for a H/D pack, all the used ones are cracked & I wasnt going to spend $1,200 for the whole package that would only be used once a year.
I bought a H/D detachable rack then mounted the cycle gear box to it, its fine quality & if you can get over the non H/D look then its a great deal, I have about $225 into the whole package, the only thing is it flexes pretty good when the passenger sits back so I built an internal brace, pretty basic, will take some pic's tomorrow if interested http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HD-HA...QQcmdZViewItem

The Custom Cycle gear with the backrest is a fantastic value. I have had one mounted on an HD solo detachable backrest for about 18 months and it has been great. It holds nearly (within 15% or less) as much as the HD tour pack--I know since I bought a used HD pack and mounted it on the HD two-up detachable rack and since I used the same luggage in both it provided an excellent comparison between the two.

I loaned the CC pack to my buddy to mount on his Road King Custom for our ride to Sturgis from metro Atlanta this year and he liked it so much he bought it from me. He got a lot of use out of the backrest and told me it was very comfortable over our 4,750 mile trip.

Oh yeah, I bought the HD pack because it was an ultra, so it put more light on the back of the bike, and came with the back/arm rest which I wanted for passengers.

HTH.

Thanks gunrunner. I saw those on Ebay a few weeks back and if I can't locate a decent RK pack then I will probably look intothe CG stuff. Thanks again.

I have one also. I think it is well worth the money.

I am also interested in seeing the pics for the internal brace.
