Default Painted and installed new toolbox - PICS ADDED

So I got myself one of the chrome teardrop toolboxes (for the lefthand side), and a can of the wrinkle black spray paint. I painted the toolbox and installed it, and I think it looks pretty damn cool in black to match the rest of the bike. The spray wrinkle black paint isn't quite as "wrinkley" as the stock parts, but it's close.

I'm at work right now, but I'll post some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Cheers!

Yeah I have chrome tool boxes on left AND right side on my Fatboy..Kind of gives balance. The right side is for..tools, and the left side houses all my add-on electronics; I ran out of room under the seat so I moved everything to the new toolbox.

If you didn't pick one up already, the toolbox zippered insert bag is great for keeping all your tools together.

Yup, I got one of the zippered bags. Makes sense to have it. If I want to take the tools or whatever out of the box, it's easy, and it keeps things from rattling around insode it!

Cheers!

Clammy, did you paint it after a liquid lunch, or were you close to sober? (yeah right, sober....)

Can't wait to see it buddy.

Dead sober, and I actually painted it over a few days. There are about 7 or 8 coats on it.

Cheers!

Hey Clammy, how'd you do with those new apes?
Well, after spilling about a 1/2 gallon of gasoline on the driveway while removing the tank, and breaking one of the terminals on the wiring harness while pulling the wiring through the bars, I found out that the 4" wire extension kits I bought were WAY too short! So, I had to put everything back together and order new 10" extension kits. So I'm waiting for those to arrive. I did test mount the bars, and they're going to be AWESOME!!!

Here are a couple of pics for comparison.

Cheers!
