Photos of Street Glides w/ the tourpak
Anyone have any photos of your street glide w/ the king tour pak?
Also, does harley make a tourpak relocation kit or is it an after market product? I want to add the tourpak to a street glide and dont know what hardware to buy but like the idea of the tourpak being relocated back 2 inches
Part numbers would be great if you have them.........................
thanks,
garrison

Check out the VIP trunk I mounted on my Street Glide: Trunk on Street Glide
Whether you purchase a Harley or any other tour pack, most of what I did still applies. You will need the same brackets and antenna relocation kit. I really like the VIP and it sure is a LOT cheaper than the Harley tour pak and back rest which I believe are upwards of $750 combined.
Wife and I just got back from a long weekend trip on the Glide in "touring" trim. Sure was cool to be able to quickly detach (like 10 seconds) the tour pak and take it into the hotel room, just like a piece of luggage !

RE: Photos of Street Glides w/ the tourpak
i finally got to see a couple bikes (SG's and EGS's) with chopped tour pak's this past weekend at a dealer event... i personally didn't like the proportions of chopped pack when i saw it in person... which was surprising to me as I thought it looked great in the pics i've seen here... if i was to add a tour pak to a SG it would be the full sized baby...

This is my '04 police model EG with the SG facia/fender etc. and a King TP mounted on the HD detachable two-up rack.
http://
I also have the VIP/Customcyclegear tour pak mounted on a solo detachable rack and consider it a great value, especially for the rider who only occassionally uses a tour pak and likes to keep the bike tour pak-less most of the time. It holds more than the chopped HD TP and only slightly less than the King. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who plans to mount and use a luggage rack mounted on the tour pak. JMHO.
Also, many forum members (me included) use an antenna mounted inside the fairingto avoid the antenna relocation issue involved with installing and removing the tour pak from an EG Classic.
