So after looking over a few bikes, I pulled the trigger on a 2008 Street Bob today.&nbsp\\; Traded the 2007 883L (my first bike) having gotten used to riding it since I got it in April.&nbsp\\; I rode my dad's Rocker the other day and was surprised how nicely it handled, which is why I decided to move up myself.

I'm AMAZED how much nicer the Street Bob rides than the Sportster.&nbsp\\; I guess I always figured, like many newbies, that the smaller Sportster would be easier to ride, but nope.&nbsp\\; The Street Bob is so well balanced it feels like it's holding itself up while riding down the road.&nbsp\\; I was really surprised how easily I was able to lean into curves and how much easier it was to turn intersection corners.&nbsp\\; This bike feels so much more smooth and stable it's unreal.&nbsp\\; I don't think I could ever get on a Sportster now that I've felt the difference of a bigger bike.&nbsp\\;

I was also very impressed with how much more smoothly the Street Bob goes through the gears, making shifting much more effortless as well.&nbsp\\; Pretty much everything about this bike feels better, giving me more confidence overnight in my riding.&nbsp\\;

The only thing I miss are the V&amp\\;H slip-ons I put on the Sporty.&nbsp\\; I'll definitely have to save up to put some V&amp\\;H pipes (looking at the blacked out sideshots) as my first mod!

And I'd also like to thank everyone here who gave me some input the other night regarding my next (now current) bike recommendations...

I also came off a Sporty to the Street Bob and I understand how excited you are. The Street Bob is an incredible looking and riding bike. I love mine too.

HAHAH!&nbsp\\; Exactly...still getting used to the turn it off and catch it move...I used to just leave it in the Sporty...but can't now.

Congratulations! Same here. Went from an '01 1200 to an '07 Bob and the difference is amazing! (Of course the 1200 had the rigid mount motor. The '04s and later ride much better).
