RE: Has anyone delt with DragonFly?
I have not personally dealt with them but I love the internet ad with the wheelie. I know that at least one member here is running a Dragonfly fairing. I just can't remember who it is. Hope you get the info you are looking for.

RE: Has anyone delt with DragonFly?
I purchased a fairing from them last year. It was backordered for 2 months which I was ok with ( I knew it up front). The fairing was to be shipped in late April. Paid up front. To make a long story short, I was told they were "having problems with thier painter" I finally got the fairing in June. The fairing looks good, the paint is good. The "marine" radio pkg. sucks. To begin with it is not the radio shown on the web site. I was sent a Kenwood KDC-MP4028 that Dragonfly claims has had the circuit board coated. For a cool price of $500.00. After about half dozen washes, the radio fried. It was only then that I realized I'd been screwed on the radio. I also want to add that I purchased the marine bubble that covers the radio face, it didn't help.
When I contacted Kenwood for warranty service, I was told this model was not intended for outdoor use. The speakers were decent quality marine grade Pioneers. Fairing : Good, Stereo : Save your money and buy a marine grade stereo, Service : Disorganized.
With all that said, if I needed another fairing, I would consider buying just the unpainted fairing from them again. Have them cut stereo hole, gauge holes ect. But I would have to think long and hard about it.
I have since traded my Roadking for the Ultra in my sig. I still have the Dragonfly fairing and will sell it on e-bay in April. I will include the replacement radio and sell it for a low enough price that a person could afford to paint it. It is currantly HD Brilliant Silver, outer and inner fairing.

I was not aware of the speakers being Not In Stock! Which I found out on Friday 17th Mar. They said all would ship that day.
I called back on the 21st Mar to let them know that the billing was finally on my credit card now. And asked if the order was shipped to find out when I'd receive it all? They didn't know exactly what shipped when due to a computer crash and couldnt' give me any tracking numbers period. They did ask the folks in shipping if it went. And since mine was odd, being with (4) speakers, they remembered that mine did in fact ship.
Just don't know when!!
I have sent two e-mails. No response from either. Only time that I get some info is when I call them and they answer the phone. Sometimes I do get a recording, and could leave a voice mail but choose not.
So now I have not seen the order that I placed on the 10th March and don't even have a way to track anything.
Every day I in life you hear something new. All is plausable, I just am tired of it happening to me!
This on top of the episode that I'm going through with the fairing getting painted is just getting old.
Don't need to tell me - Yah, I know ---- I should have bought the UltraClassic..... now the wife is saying that....
Thanks Steve
(I have an out now to trade UP!! Hee - Heee, Heee- Heee. LOL)

Hang in there, your merchandise will eventually arrive. Then you'll put it on, you'll like it. So much so that you will end up doing what I did....
Bought the Ultra Don't get me wrong, I loved my RK and your looks great, but eventually, you will have the Ultra
Good luck, Steve[sm=icon_rock.gif]

RE: Has anyone delt with DragonFly?
Just in case anyone is following this thread that is in the market for a fairing let me throw in my two cents. After a whole bunch of research I ended up buying the fairing from Dead Center Cycles. I can attest that their customer service is top notch. In fact that is really why I bought from them. The answered every one of my questions in a very timely manner. They shipped the fairing the next day after I placed my order. Can't beat that in my opinion.

RE: Has anyone delt with DragonFly?
I know exactly what your talking about. I also have a DeadCenterCycle Fairing. I have kept Willem apprises of my paint situation with the fairing as well.
I just wanted the speaker pods from Dragonfly because they are 6.5 inch openings vice the OEM's of 5.25 inches. They are less expensive then OEM too. And ordered all four of my speakers at the same time. The speakers are all 6.5 inches which will fit into my DeadCenter detachable fairing!
I was really impressed with the DeadCenterCycles communications both e-mail and over the phone, and they shipped quickly too.
This is why I'm questioning Dragonfly!! It does not seem right to me!
Thanks for the reply Astro, I'm glad that you also like your DeadCenter fairing as well as I do.
