I would like some forum members opinions regarding a recent purchase from the classifieds. Im not sure this is the correct forum, for this so my apologies to the mods if this is in the wrong place. I would like some of your opinions.

I purchased a set of used slip-ons from the classifieds. These were described in the ad (and I QUOTE) as being:

1. excellent condition
2. ridden for very few miles
3. just about brand new

and in another ad (for the same pipes) as LNIB (Like new in box?)

No photos were included in the ad.

Please look at these photos, and tell me your opinions of what I received (yesterday)

Well, sorry to say, but I hope at least one thing you received was an expensive lesson about buying something site unseen! Sorry! Hope you're able to work this out somehow and didn't give up too much on these..........pretty clearly not almost brand new!

 

I'd say you were lied to. Those are no where near brand new and certainly not inexcellent condition, hope you didn't pay much for them. Good luck.

 

Hate to say this, but you've been had. Very used, poor condition, lots of miles. Hope you didn't give much for them.

 

Bummer is all I can say...My 80FLT with 200 thou miles on it has better looking muffs...
Go Back and post a FEEDBACK Post on Classifieds about your purchase and seller tolet everyone else know....WHO and WHAT.....about this.....

Alot of forums have a buyer/seller feedback section......USE IT or Start one...

Yep, you were ripped off by deceptive advertising. You need to post the seller's info at the appropriate place.

 

I would ask for some of my money back or will he take them back for a refund, You were lied to.
Since the guy is a liar, doubt you would get anything back. I would post his name for the wall of shame if he didnt do something to make it right.

I would never buy again without some pics but even then you can still be robbed,
happened to me for 125 bux right here on these forum classifieds. Funny thing is I have done hundreds and hundreds of online buys and sells and the only time I got shitted was right here on HDF forum classifieds. The guy quit posting. I have his address if I ever make it to Texas I will cost him more than he cost me

Not even close to what was described. IMO this was fraudulent! One thing was described another delivered! Good luck.
