Default Best price on Mustang Seat

...with a decent return policy?

I went down and had my seat modified but I'm not happy with it. I'm actually glad I didn't send it to Mean City in NC because I think I would have been disappointed in the outcome. -- OK, had something to do with thepeople not listeningto what I was asking for and after a 1 1/2 hour ride to get there I was not pleased. I finally just told them to put the cover back on and forget it (yes I was a bit PO when I left)....I would not recommend them for seat mods. Though I have no opinion of the seat they sell because I don't own one.

At any rate after looking at the seat and how it fits me in particular I decided I need something else. The seat is just not the right one for me and honestly can't really be changed to be the right one for me. The back of the seat rubs me in a place that there isn't really any way to change without some major mods to the cover and foam due to the pan and the thickness of the foam in that area

Soooo I'vedecided I would give the Mustang a try. Hubby liked his last one and I think the firmer seat will help me out. I would like the Solo with Backrest and Pillion because I have made my Tour pak removable.

The thing is I have a couple of long distance rides going the next couple of weeks and would like to give it a try then. I figure if I absolutely hate it I can return it (I'll leave the plastic on it). I'm specifically trying the Mustang because it can be returned.

Wow this post got way to long....ok done

Bev - I would highly recommend talking to Mark at M&M Cycles. His customer service is second to none and he has great prices. Here is what I found by quickly going to his site. www.mandmcycles.com

Mustang part# 79426 - Plain solo seat w/ driver backrest - $479.95
M&M Cycle price - $424

Mustang part# 79110 - 13.5" passenger pillion plain - $199.95
M&M Cycle price - $169

Mustang part# 79356 - 11" passenger pillion plain - $169
M&M Cycle price - $143

Not sure if those are the seats you are looking for, but it gives you an idea of Mark's prices. He's a great guy. I bought my exhaust and grips from him. Had a big problem with the exhaust and Mark took great care of me despite Bassani dragging their feet.

When is the last time you contacted them...I went to the site and the head ine reads "March, 9th, 2008 the business of LEWIS CUSTOM CYCLES was destroyed in a fire."

Looks like there was not insurance...what a shame.

My only problem with M & M is that thier return policy includes a 15% restocking fee. So if I hate the seat I've rented it for a few days for about $100. If I don't return it though it's a good deal.

You might also want to verify with the dealer you eventually buy from that you can return the seat at all, once it's been mounted. Most I've seen won't take it back if you've mounted it on the bike.
