Default Fabricated a part to attach flag to backrest

I have an '05 RG with a detachable Tour Pack. I also have 3 flags that I like to display from time to time in certain situations. The American flag, a POW/MIA flag and a Patriot Guard Riders flag. When I have the Tour Pack on, I put the American flag on the Tour Pack and the other two on the saddlebags. But I didn't have anything to attach the American flag to if the Tour Pack was not on my bike. I have a short detachable backrest with pad, but they do not make a flag mount for it (that I am aware of). So I went about fabricating one. Now I'm sure that I haveno where near the skill level of most of you guys, but I'm pretty happy with what I came up with. The goal was to find a way to attach the flag holder to the backrest, but still be able to remove the flag holder and attachment if I wanted to put the flag on the Tour Pack (or use the backrest without the flag).Ibought a piece of Lexan Polycarbonate ($3.69 @ Home Depot) and cut out a piece 3" x 6 1/4". I then cut a slot in it 3" x 7/16" for the flag holder to fit into. The slot was strategically cut so thatthe top of the flag holder will be snug against the bottom of the backrest bracket. I then drilled two holes in theLexan to attach itto the backrest bracket. I also drilledtwo small holes through the Lexan and the flag holder toinstall smallbolts and nuts for added stability. I will try to upload a picture of the end result. (Sorry if the picture quality is not the best.) If anyone is interested, I can give further details or take additional pictures with everything disassembled.

By the way, the flag holder in the picture is the one that I bought with my PGR flag. It is VERY similar to the HD flag holders.
