Default European Headlight RG

Thanks to Blackisfast for his information on this Euro head light swap.
Direct bold on replacement. I also installed the eglidegoodies hidden antenna since I had the fairing off and plan on doing the streetglide ground effect mod.

I used to hate driving at night on roads that I did not know due to the poor lighting of my RG. I took it for a test ride on Tues night and it was awsome. Like nite and day. The antenna works great. I get more radio stations now than when I had my shorty antena on. I have to open it back up for a better ground over the winter.

New lights, yes that is a little 3rd bulb. It comes on the euro spec headlight assymbley. It plugs in on my 2004 RG (it had the connection for it already, just pulled back with tape)

I also changed out my console insert to a skull one

and changed out my wheels and calipers with a buddy who had black ultra wheels and calipers. Pic also has the US old lights.

Still to come

Street Glide facsia (ground effect mod) and weekend concepts relocate plate. And a SKull derby cover

I do not know what the 3rd light's purpose is as it looks to be the equivelent of a plate light bulb.

Called City Lights in the rest of the world.

Give your headlights that European look with a City Light Kits. In Europe, the front marker lights work differently from the headlights in the US. When you turn on your car or truck "parking" lights, the amber corner lights and the amber bumper lights come on. In Europe it's illegal to have amber lights in the front of your car or truck, so the bulb is replacing the amber bumper lights are white ones and the corner lights stay off as well. The corner lights are used only as turn signals on a car or truck. Instead of putting bumper lights on the car or truck, the light was selected to mount inside the high-beam enclosure producing a forward-facing light. Here in the US, the City Lights were never used on your factory car or truck. City Light Kits just add a little touch of uniqueness to your car or truck to stand out in the crowd.

I also hate driving at night because of the poor lighting on my Roadglide.
Can I get some information on this Euro headlight swap. Thanks.

Do a search for Daniel Stern's RG Upgrade.

Seem to recall that the topic was "hot' in July or August

Good Luck

I just tried this part number 68995-01 in the Lake Shore HD part search and it did not come up. I am interested in more info on the Road Glide Euro set up. Does anyone have current info? My bike is an 09 RG
Thanks

68995-01 works fine from Surdyke HD. I got mine from Chicago HD.
