Default First toy run today...

Wow, it was lot more fun than I expected. I got to give some needy kid in a hospital a Christmas gift. Almost brought tears to my eyes. The ride over to the hospital was a relatively short one but I had never ridden with that many people at once. All was good and safe. I am much more comfortable in a smaller group like we broke off into after giving the toys at the hospital. Fillin' up my Karma bank too. All in all it was a good day.

SoCalByker and Mr. Moto...

Jefe and 2mean2like

Dinger and his friend Joe...

Primo with his "Dora tha explora!" We almost couldn't get him to let go of it.

One for the ladies...

Inside the hospital lobby...

In the stealer parking lot...

That's all for this roll of film. I have to work on my photojournalist skills. I'm slowly getting a little better. A nice way to kick off the holiday season (ugh!) here. It was about 70 out in the afternoon for all you people lost in the cold. [8D]

Iwent on a nice toy run last year with a state potrol escort .that was cool with a car leading and two police bikes blocking intersections then after the 140-150 bikes pass they were 100mph+ to block the next intersection and rode to LIMA company (much bally hooed marine corp here in Ohio with several casualities in Iraq)marines toys for tots.VERY COOL!

Anubisss,

I enjoy looking at pics of different rides. Way to go man for a great cause.

We all may get aggressive on this site, but we all do enjoy the bikes and comraderie we have. We are not that much different.

Way to go.

Cool story with pictures. Really enjoy the toy runs, makes you feel good to know that a little kid is going to smile.

I did my first toy run last weekend. I had a blast. There were an estimated 5k people at the event. It was really cool to see all the people on the side of the road, waving as we passed. I made it a point to wave to every little kid that I saw.
Here is Herr.Monk (left) and me between Mr and Mrs Claus.

Me and my baby.
this is some of the crowd. this was taken when everyone first started to arrive. There were a lot more by the time we set out.

It sure does give you a good feeling. We had a full police escort, which I hear is typical. I tell ya though, it was weird riding through red lights. LOL

Went on my first toy run a couple of weeks ago. My stealer has an annual one every November and it gets bigger every year. I have to admit I was a little nervous with so many bikes - 528 officially. There was no destination, just an hour long ride that was well organized by the local HOG chapter. Except for a couple of turns and bursts of the throttle to catch back up with the riders ahead, I never really got above 2nd gear and yet never had to put my feet down and stop a single time. A toy donation or $10 to the Salvation Army and it included a nice BBQ lunch. I'll do it again - very enjoyable.

Jefe on the left and Primo with his "Dora tha explora!" We almost couldn't get him to let go of it.

Yeah Dora and I talked about it but agreed it would probably not work out so she left with some kid.
