Arrow WS6 style air cleaner cover

.
.
Dug out my football from the bottom of the barrel today
and proceeded to extract the nice part and shitcan the remainder.

Makes for a very nice, cheap, simple change.

As far as I know, WS6 Formula was the first to perform
the operation a year or so ago.

A friend is shipping his StreetBob cover for me to do,
so I figured I might as well get a headstart and use
my own as a guinea pig.

I may go ahead a run it for awhile. Looks pretty good.

Details please, mud. I see nothing that even resembles a football, except the SPI Dyna Super Glide 'ring'.
BTW, Thanks for the jiffy stand question. I got it swapped out.

Looks great mud, what did you use to trim the football cover off? Does one need a vice grip when attempting the operation? I can't wait to operate on mine

I used a body saw and a sanding disc to clean it up and then put a screaming eagle ring on it. I get compliments on it all the time......

dog, shooter,

I used a thin 2" cutoff wheel in my high speed die grinder.

First I identified the target for cut,
thenmarked with a blue felt tip pen.

After the center was separated, I nutted this onto
a short piece of 3/8" all thread, then chucked it up
in my drill press and used my 4" sander to size it down
to the blue line, while spinning in the drill press.

Lotsa ways to skin a cat.
That's how I did it.

Details please, mud.

More photos and details at this link

That is where I got the basics.
Formula used a slightly different technique.

Good deal on the kStand.
Where's the pix??
pCoated black??

Good post mud. I bought an angle grinder the other day (for no good reason)-- wait why would I need a reason other than the fact that I don't have one. Anyway I guess now I have a good reason.

The bike looks sharp. Have a good thanksgiving guys
