Default Handlebar update progress - Deluxe 07'

Hey guys. Everything has gone as planned. Pin removal from the Molex connectors was really easy once you understand how the connector is put together (see my other post). thankx to scooty3 for the advice for that. Only other small brain teaser was the throttle adjusters. I read another post from HDTech, and it said to turn the long hex barrels toward the grip to lossen cable tension. Should have read "away from the grip". Had no problems with the brass ferrule removal, just a little patience.

Need to order my SS cables now. I'm looking at the bike, and now considering changing to the chrome switch controls to make it complete while I got everything off. Any other aftermarket switch controls I should look at other than HD?

I put the Chubby 504s on with the ISO grips just to see how it looks...

I put chrome controls on my Springer when I did the bars. HD stuff is expensive so I found a set on Ebay - cheapest I found so far. The picture isn't the actual item. I got the master cylinder lid like the OEM model with the window in it. There wasn't any changes in the controls between 06 and 07 so these will fit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-06...8832QQtcZphoto

I bought chrome switch caps from Surdyke for $13 shipped. These are much cheaper than swapping out the switches entirely and they went on pretty easy.

I did the work myself so saved labor expense. So I ended up with complete chrome controls and switches for under $150 installed. Tough to beat that.

Kuryakyn has chrome caps that are much cheaper than HD. I have ordered other things from kuryakyn and the quality seems fine.
