Default what Harley really needs to address...

I love my RKC Harley, but let's face it they are the slowest damn things on 2 wheels. Now I'm not saying I want a speed demon, but for the love of god at least let me out-accelerate the 1984 mini-van (and yes I have close to 2k into Screaming Eagle and Dyno tune and the 2 into 1 Thunderheader)next to me at the minimum at the lights.......oh and give me something liquid cooled. I live in Arizona and liquid cooling is a necessity for any summer riding in my book. That's why come summer I spend 90% of my time on my Honda. Hell they are making computers now that are liquid cooled! I dont want Harley to change how they look, drive, or sound ever. Just give us liquid cooled engines and more HP (without having to pay an arm anda leg for it)and I'll be happy as can be....

So what changes do you fellas think are needed down the line??

I thought they did withthe VROD, exactly as you described.

Yeah- I've been griping about Harley's brakes and motors for quite some time. It doesn't seem like this should be a huge deal to fix. They obviously have engineers- look at the V-ROD. The liquid cooling in an of itself isn't a huge issue to me, but if they have to go that route to make hp and stay EPA compliant then that's fine with me.

However, I don't think they'll change much until sales drop dramatically or the EPA forces the issue to the point where they can only get 40 hp out of their antiquated motor designs.

So, Buy a V-ROD or a rice burner, or shut the fVk up!
Once upon a time, I raced 2-wheelers, HD couldn't and didn't compete. Now I ride to relax and enjoy life. I see no point in racing grocery-getters, or anyone else. I truely am into the HD "lifestlyle" and could give a fart what you, or anyone else, thinks of that.

I hear what your saying about power as I hop on my Honda for thatspeed rush as well. But my point is, we shouldn't have to get on "another bike" to experience a little power!! I'm not saying I want my Harley to tear ***, just like I said don't let 20 year old vehicles out-accelerate me like I'm standing still!!!

I have a sport bike already. The point is, the Harley is TOO SLOW. It's 2007. Give us something that we don't have to throw 2k into, to make it move.....as for being an ol' fart and wanting to putz around, nothing wrong with that but they could still still add plenty of HP and the Harley would still not be "fast".....

Mine accelerate just fine with a Stage II in them.

Don't really see the need yet for a radiator, but it's probably headed this way.

Not sure what you think "fast" is, mine will do 115 no problem. You must be whining about torque.

Road Kings are for highway cruising, not racing. I can run mine in 100+degree heat for as long as I want, and it keeps on going.

My friend has an 06 Streetrod, it's pretty respectable as far as power, it's a little low on torque though. ItBrembo brakes which is a huge improvement over my 08 FXSTC brakes. At least Harley is coming aroundby offering ABS brakes now. I think the Brembo's will be on all the models in a few years.
