Does anyone have any experience with the K&N Air Filter, part #HD-1499?

I purchased this because it's what the K&N website said would fit the 06 dynas and basically every 1450cc Harley models. I read a few threads on this and everyone talks about the HD-0800. I called K&N customer service and they said that the HD-0800 is only for he 883cc sportsters and for 1450cc's it will require the HD-1499.

The K&N HD-0800 is a replacement for the Screaming Eagle air cleaner element, not the stock element. I believe the HD-1499 is the KN filter for the stock air cleaner. Steve

 

that is the same one that i put in my 05 superglide and had it flashed just like you would on a stage 1 i put S.E. 2 slip on and kept the stock air cleaner except the air filter and really happy with everything. i think it works great.

 

So we're talking about 2 different parts? There's both an air cleaner and a air filter on my bike?
