Default Anyone consider the Jaybrake J-FL forward controls???

I've been serious considering it. I have never been a huge fan of floorboards. That is why I have my highway pegs positioned so I can rest my heels on the boards and toes on the pegs. Feels like forward controls. Rarely do I ever have my feet planted on the boards. Anyone else thought about switching?? Anyone done it yet??? Jaybrake have always been top-shelf stuff so I am not worried about the quality.

I would love to do forward controls on mt SG. I'm 6'1 and hate be confined to the boards and don't like the highway pegs cuz of how they spread your legs apart to wide for me. I did'nt think you could do fc's cuz of the boards being attached to a welded to frame support. Hope I'm wrong.

No the whole floorboard with the bracket comes off. Two bolts each side and they are off. Nothing welded. The Jaybrake forward controls replace the floorboards, brake pedal and shifter.

Someone posted within the past week a Bagger
with forward controls. Not sure about the 97 & up
Baggers but on my 95 King the bracket arms for the floor boars are removable

Monstermile, Jay Brake makes good stuff but a lot of names in the business doing
forward controls these days. Most are geared to the softail though
Good luck, that Road Glide looks good as it is but we are never satisfied

Those are really nice looking. Just what I needed to see, something else to spend money on. Are you thinking the chrome or black anodized ones?

PM Shooter64 for a price before you buy. He got me a great deal on my Jaybrake 6 piston caliper. Got here quick too.

Tough call BZ. I think I would have to see just how much of the black anodized is black. That would be my first choice if the whole thing isn't black.

I had a set on a hot rod electra glide that I sold, I took the controls off, couldnt hardly reach them, but my inseam is only 32", I am 5'11. They looked killer, I just couldnt get enough foot on them at highway speeds to keep my feet on them. Oh and those were Accutronix, never tried the JayBrakes, but they build first class stuff all the way.

was gonna pick them up myself but didn't like the fact that you had to remove the crashbars. i might get those flip-out pegs by FBI, they flip out from under your floorboards.

The new J-FL forward controls are designed to mount to FLH touring models. These controls will meet the needs of everyone who likes the feel and mobility of forward controls, but demands the luxury of their bagger. Machined from a combination of steel and billet aluminum these new controls utilize existing Harley Davidson® mounts and pivot points as well as the stock master cylinder. The J-FL forward controls can be mounted to your touring bike with or without the use of the crash bar. Available in chrome or black anodize.
