Default Broken bolts on wheel, new pulley... size ?'s

Hey all. Anyone ever hear of all 5 bolts breaking off in the wheel on the rear pulley at the same time and at the same location in the wheel? Happened to me yesterday. Luckily I was at a light and heard a jingle sound, 2 lights later I went to take off in first and they all felft out and slipped the pulley and wheel. Now needing to replace the pulley and maybe the wheel.

I know I have seen this post before but cant find it now. What size pulley/teeth for a 06 FXST?

Yes, I have heard of it. I have also heard of the cause is from not having the pulley bolts torqued to the correct spec. From what I recall, the blame is on the bolts being too loose.

Good luck with the new pulley. Most web info states you need a 20mm 66 tooth pulley for an 06 FXST(i) but don't buy one cos it don't fit!!!! The 06 pulley is larger in diameter than this.

If you do manage to find one the right size - please tell me.

Cheers

Thanks plasma, looks like the 20mm, 70 tooth seems like the magic one. Does that sound right? I found a chrome one online for $199.95 in PA. Wheel, I'm still debating over. Was the width of 20mm (7/8") sound right?

Sounds right to me - I've also got wheels and everything that you need for your ride, but I doubt I could get them to you from the UK in time!

Good luck mate!!
