Default New Fuel Management System from Nightrider!

Been talking to Nightrider about the heat and lean condition on my 07 and they told me that they are coming out with a product in the under $200-$250 range with wide band O2 sensors designed to cure the lean condition on the 07 bikes. They are releasing it now.

Here's the link, let me know what you guys think....

interesting. I see the recommended usage is to have 2 LC-1s installed (one for each cylinder). cost is about $400 for 2 of 'em ..... I'm not entirely sure if I wanna be a guinnea pig for that kinda $$.

My initial thoughts after reading the page.... sounds interesting. There are some things they are not 'sure' of as in priority of sensors to the ECU...etc. That being said ... does sound interesting.

I'd like to actually see some 'stats' on it. I mean it says 15-20% heat reduction in exhaust and engine. If my engine is running 250degrees does that drop it to 200? As stated on the website they could get the bike to 'shut off' after 10 min in the shade from idling. I would like to see time tests on the same bike. Bike idling for 5min and the temp... and 10min and the temp and then compare it to the bike with the LC-1s installed (2 tests..... one for the LC-1 only on the front cylinder and one test using 2 LC-1s). Also if they can show max temps etc.

I would have interest in something like this ... but just not enough 'concrete' statistical information for me to make a real 'decision' on. What is shown is more 'observations' and not real data.

Actually they do have some stats, although its in a different area for some reason.

interesting.

Wondering though ..... (understanding they are talking 'stock' systems and stock with the LC1) it is my understanding the V&H Fuel Pack lets the ECU take control at idle speed. If this is the case ... wouldn't give a little throttle (above the 1200RPM LIMIT as indicated in the information provided on nightrider's website) close the loop and the fuel pack then takes over once again to 'richen' the mix?

I understand, based on the reading, the stock ECU at 1200RPMs will re-lean the mix out.... but if one has a PCIII or Fuel Pack or SERT or whatever ... wouldn't that more than likely 'over-ride' the stock ECU lean setting?

Maybe our problems isn't what 'Fuel Management' we are using ... but those who are piggy-backed might need to keep the RPMs up a smidgeon to not have the ECU in control but the PCIII or FuelPack to be in control.... interesting.
