Default cutting rear fender shorter

I'm thinking about cutting my rear fender shorter on my 07 street bob. I am getting a sidemount licence plate holder and brake light unit to clear off the rear fender and then I will be ready to cut. Has anyone else done this and if so do you have pictures of how it looks? I looking though all 24 pages of dyna pics and didn't see that anyone had done this.

More than a few examples on this forum rocklayer.

alaskabobber has done a very nice job. first two
rRacer went radical - great lookin fender. third
some european chops. fourth and fifth

And others that escape me right now.

Myself, I cut three SoftTail fenders and produced one for my 06 SuperGlide,
so that don't count.

I wanted to cut mine shorter as well but after seeing pics of others and the huge wheel gap left afterwords, I decided to order a new fender from wcc. I should be recieving it monday. Its the tombstone 8.5" which should look like the stock minus the taillight hole. I'm going to try and fit it a little more fowards so it will hug the tire better. I'll try and get some pics up with it and my new bars(1 1/2" big buffalo 17" apes).......................N8

i have seem many people local do it .. its not my thing . but remember it really needs to be lowered after its done or it just dont look right. many people around here cut them really high like a half moon look taking all the holes out from the taillight and tag. the pics of have seen here with them cut straight makes them look like a deuce fender or v rod .. again not my style but it does make them unique
