I have a 01 FXDWG, I'm due a ferry trip soon and wondered how to alarm the bike for the crossing in transit mode. Any help appreciated.

I just want to disable the standard fitted alarm while on the ferry (It automatically arms itself when the bike stands idle).

 

Transit mode: While ignition switched on (engine on or off, doesn't matter) press fob until turn signals flash, then turn ign off, press fob until it blinks again. Done.
When restarting your bike, use fob as usual to disarm alarm.

Also good to know how to disable alarm w/o fob, check your manual...
I had once an issue when parked too close to some kind of radio link...fob unusable!
