cold and jetting probs?
i got my bike back today from the stealership, i got the 5 k service done and a 42 mil mikuni carb installed, i started riding the bike home ,35 milesto home got 5 miles noticed the choke was left on, so i turned it off, then at all stop lights and signs , it acted like it wanted to die on me, the idle was set to low !! but also once in awhile it was puking through the carb a lil , now keep in mind it was 29 degrees here , which i froze bike never got over 160 temp and the idle was set to low , could this cause it before i call them back ? because if i do call them back we gonna fight , they have messed up bike everytime its been there !!! today light scrathes all over bike , they rubbed most out , only in the clear but still makes me angry!!! i need a good place here in northern IL, but paint is a easy fix , would the cold and low idle make this puke a lil?

Probably as simple as adjusting the idle mixture screw properly. What you're describing sounds like classic leanidle. The mixture screw on a Mikuni is an air adjustment, in is richer out is leaner. This is opposite on the Kehin, the screw is a fuel adjustment and in is lean out is rich. You need to find out how the dealer set it up...jets, needle, accererator pump nozzle. Normally Mikunis come too rich everywhere except the main jet. Stock pilot jet is 25, needle is 97, pump nozzle is 70 and main jet is 160. Most folks end up with a 17.5 or 20 pilot, 98 needle, 50 pump nozzle and 165 main. Youshould download the tuning manual from Mikuni's website.
