Gas Smell?......

Gas Smell?......
Been smelling a gas smell as of late when I park the RG in the garage.
I've always kept her in the Garage (850 sq. ft. w/ 12' ceilings) and lately when I park her, about 15 minutes later I begin to smell a distinct gas smell (no other vehicles in the garage). There is also no visible signs of leaking onto the engine or garage floor.
Is this normal (I damn well hope not)?; or do I have to visit the "stealer" and hope that hey "smell" the same?
Thanks for the help folks.

With the fuel injection, I thought that the system was sealed.
Abnmarine, I just checked the 90 degeree "el" by shaking, twisting, wiggling, etc...no hint of leakage. Any other places to check?
Don't want the place to go up in flames during the night.

There is an externalvent line that attaches to the side of the fuel fill. When you park your bike the engine heat radiates to the fuel tank which warms the fuel causing it to expand and push air or fuel vapor out this vent. It ends near the rear of the primary by the frame. I always park mine with a full tank of fuel and sometimes if its just a little too full, some gas will exit through this vent. My RG is an '02 carbureted, but I think all have this vent. If the smell is gone when the engine cools off, this may be where the gas smell is coming from.

I have a 2008 Ultra. The first time I parked it in the garage when it was hot I noticed strong smell of gasoline when I was in the basement (garage is part of basement) I checked all over the bike and can't find a fuel leak anywhere. It only does it when it is hot so I assume the engine heat is causing vapor to come out of vent. So, Now I leave it parked outside the garage for a little while till it cools off some then I put it away. Also, I think some fuels smell good but this Sunoco Ultra I am using has a bad (can't really explain it) smell. But, it makes the bike run nice.
