Default Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2007

Anyone from the Atl area heading over for this years bike week at Myrtle Beach. Thinking of starting out on the 16-17 and staying thru the weekend. Any good pointer, of where to stay, eat, and just what to stay away from.

Breakers North has always been a decent place. Have stayed there many a time and they've got good parking for your bike and/or trailer and vehicle. It's right on the beach, and has a Starbucks across the street to get going in the morning, as well as the Red Parrot Cafe which get's hopping at night. http://www.breakers.com/north_tower.cfm Not too far north, and not too far down south where it gets a bit rowdier.

Dog House South is a good place to drink beer at night. Used to be lots of topless babes on the mechanical bull, last year they seemed to clean it up :-( Then of course Suck, Bang and Blow (two locations), Broken Spoke, ..... Ah, can't wait till May!

The Patricia Grand Hotel (Ocean Blvd, near 29th Street) is excellent. My family has stayed there for 18 years now...every April during the school break. We've always been happy there. Large garage across the street as well. Ride safe!

HD2007, what part of NY are coming from? I'm a New Yorker (Bronx) living in NC but I have family from upstate, coming down for Myrtle. Perhaps if you guys are close and leave the same days, he can join you on the way down. He is riding with his wife and it is there first trip of this calibre. They are from Ballston Spa.

Worth a shot.
