If you want your bike to roll like butter ona solid, high quality, American made motorcycle jack, this is the one. Two brothers from Wisconsin started the company about ten years ago and they stand behind their product with a lifetime guarantee. I was impressed by their jack but found a Bulldog jack that is very similar at $250 used. Can't beat a quality jack for a big-buck machine.

I have had the J&S jack several months. I could not be happier with it. Easy one man operation and no need for frame adapters on the Dyna. I have never had to strap the bike down, even when removing the front or rear wheel.

Default RE: J & S Jacks question

I have a Wheeldock centerstand on my roadglide. Will this interfere with the Jack platform?

I bought an J&S jack and the oil drip pan and the wheel chock. I got it today !!

Yeah, I was tired of trying to push an 83.00 china made sears jack under my softail fatboy, always having to lift the bike
off the jiff stand and then wiggle it back and forth to stuff the jack under the rails.. got worse when I started using the
orange rubber frame protectors to get the jack away from my bottom shocks.

Gotta say the J&S jack is a sweet jack it clears my softails bottom rails and clears them with the orange rubber frame protectors
as well with room to boot.. so I could lower my bike and still not have to stand the bike up to get the jack all the way under my
bike to lift.

Stability on teh J&S jack is sweet, tho you do have to find the sweet spot to do it like they do in the Videos, its stable even if you
don't, I sure didn't need to tie down my bike at all when I worked on it tonight. I am very impressed with it.

Now.. The J&S Wheel Chock...is simply awesome as well!! push it in, its locked upright off the jiff stand, easy to work on the bike
even if its on the ground... I know lifts use these things but..heh anyways I have my wheel chock on the ground. I degreased,
washed, dried with a bike dryer, polished and waxed my bike while it was sitting in the wheel chock.. easy as heck on both sides
and nope u don't have to tie the bike down while its in the chock unless transporting it(back tire)

I purchased one of the J&S jacks and drip pan. I got a chance the other day to use it on my 06 ultra. It lifts the bike very easily and it rolls very easily, I just wished it had a longer handle on the let down ****. Turning that and holding the right handle bar at the same time is a little awkward. Mine is not as stable as the one on the video, But maybe I just gun shy.

If you let it down real slow, you don't need to hold the handlebar. You can raise and lower the bike without touching it.

These lifts are great, if your floor is smooth enough you can wheel your bike around like a shopping cart. Works great for conserving space in the garage.

The J&S jack is very stable but it does get more stable the higher you lift the bike. Not really intuitive but the jack gets more solid as it makes the "box" in lifting.

My only complaints are the the tiny handle on the let down **** like you said. If you over tighten that it can be hard to open it without opening it all of a sudden and too far and have the bike come down fast!! I have to make sure I only lightly tighten it. The Sears yellow jack is really cool in that is has that huge handle that you can both jack it up with and release it down. But the yellow Sears jack I got was like a rocking horse with the bike on it. It was really scary!!! Way too unstable. I wish J&S used the long pole handle concept on theirs.

The other complaint I have is that the first two stop positions for the safety pegs don't catch. I let the bike down once with the stops in the first spot and one of the pegs poped out!!! Luckily the other one held. I had it do the same thing on the second one due to the angle being too steep. By the third stop they held good. So I don't ever go any less than the third stop.
