Default Triple digit club?

In no way am I an idiot rider, those days are long gone. But let's face it, every now and then when taking precautions to make sure our chances of getting hurt are measured, all of us throttle down on these things. I am used to big inch customs on one end or my vintage Ironhead, so the speed and pwer issue on these baggers is kind of new to me. How fast are these beasts anyhow? I have an 06 with the 5sp tranny, some exhaust work only done, so it is not as powerfull as some in this section, for sure....but she will definately get herself over the 100mph mark pretty easy. Any good stories?

06 SG, not sure what she tops out at, but with the spedo pegged at 120 it's still pulling pretty hard.

06 SG
103" with a few extras.

Are you talkin' "THE" exclusive 100ci/100hp/100tq club? I'm in the 99 mph club...I can only dream!

bountyhunter....I am not in "THE" 100 club...not with the SG. I used to have a big inch stroker rigid chopper that would do 120 with more left to go, but seeing as the rigid-framed rear end would skip going over the smallest of street separations and the stretched front end would seem to raise up and flutter weightlessly at that speed, I would usually have to let go of the throttle at that point.
The bagger is a little different. I wish I had the money because quite frankly I would love to switch out the current motor with a 145 S and S for some real kick! Until then I will just try to push my little 88 incher.

My build will get me to the 120mph mark with more to go dont know how much more speedometer only go's to 120 wich is fast enough but for me it's how fast it gets there and although I am happy with my build with endless funds it would be more. My bike has 90+ ftlbs from 3000-4500 rpm and is a lot of fun to ride.

I hit 120 a couple of weeks ago........and it came fast and was still pulling hard.

I did 112 with my wife on the back about 2 months ago, she knew we were going fast and then she looked over my shoulder and quickly tucked her head down again.

These things just love to be going 75-100.............that's right in the good powerband.

Your right at 120 it seems to have a lot left, but I don't intend to ride like that very often or for very far, it's just fun to feel how fast it gets there, I'm running 110+tq from 2500 up

with my 103 cubic inch, my 96.5 HP and my 103.3 TQ if you add them together and then divide by 3 to get an average you come up with 100. My question does that make me a member of the triple 100's club.
