Zard Rolls Out New Sportster S 'Top Gun' Exhaust
The popular street bruiser gets a new set of Italian pipes.
New Pipes
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S is still new enough to quality as "new," but the reimagined classic is already attracting its fair share of buyers to the brand. That also means that we're in the midst of an onslaught of new aftermarket parts and accessories, giving owners a wide variety of ways to set their ride apart from the pack. This wave includes Italian outfit Zard, which recently rolled out its new Top Gun exhaust for the Sportster S.

Extra Juice
As is the case with most exhaust systems, the Top Gun setup for the new Sportster S is designed to unleash the bike's sound, but it also adds a bit of power in the process - a grand total of 2.4 horsepower and 7 pound-feet of torque from its Revolution Max powerplant, in fact. Nothing crazy, but a little extra juice is always welcome.

Adding Up
Those interested in shedding weight in the name of performance will also be happy to learn that Zard's Top Gun exhaust is also around 2.2 pounds lighter than the stock unit - again, nothing substantial, but as we well know, pounds tend to add up in more ways than one.

Notable Features
The Top Gun exhaust is constructed from stainless steel and utilizes a 2-into-1-into-2 setup, just like the stock pipes. Other notable features include cylindrical silencers, which are covered with carbon fiber end caps, as well as matte black pipes and silencers with a Zard logo in the upper silencer.

Compelling Upgrade
Zard's Top Gun exhaust is compliant with the latest Euro 5 regulations, which is good news for those on the other side of the pond, and can also be spec'd with a number of optional features including a two-piece carbon fiber heat shield, radiator shroud, headlight cowl, and left side panel. Pricing starts out at just over $2,000, making it an interesting and attractive upgrade for Sportster S owners.
