Thunderbike Builds a Sweet Street Bob for Celeb
Thunderbike created this custom Harley Street Bob for a German actress and H-D brand ambassador.
Burning Wings
Germany-based custom motorcycle shop Thunderbike has certainly churned out its fair share of cool builds over the years, along with individual parts that folks can purchase for their own rides. However, it was recently tasked with building something special for German actress and Harley-Davidson brand ambassador Miriam Höller, a task that's obviously a bit more demanding than the average request. Luckily, it wound up once again answering the call with this - a custom Street Bob called "Burning Wings."

Finding Inspiration
After settling on an FXBBS Street Bob 114 as the basis for this build, Thunderbike had to come up with a theme, but it didn't take long to figure that part out. It came across a photo of her modeling when Höller was wearing an outfit complete with a pair of burning wings, which seemed like a pretty cool place to start.

Going Old School
Höller also told the company that she wanted something decidedly old school, as that's her personal preference when it comes to Harleys - which meant going with some slimmer fenders and - in this case - a set of FLH wheels measuring 18 inches in the rear and 21 in the front.

Cleaning It Up
While it was down there, Thunderbike went ahead and hid the brake caliper on the left side between the pulley and the brake for a cleaner look, added a smaller rear fender, and also went with a single brake disc up front.

Hidden Details
The paint job is something far more complex the more one looks at it, too. On the rear fender, one can find the words "never lose your wings," an homage to the owner's mantra in life, along with a wing/heart motif hidden on the tank. The two-tone paint job itself utilizes gloss, matte, and semi-gloss black in various places to add some visual interest as well.

Finishing Touches
From there, Thunderbike added its own "Hollywood" handlebars, a Spirit leather saddle, and Jekyll & Hyde exhaust, then moved the foot pegs forward, because, well, its new owner has some pretty long legs. Then, it was finally time to hand this special creation over to its new owner.

Big Reveal
Höller took delivery of her new ride at European Bike Week in Faak am See, and needless to say, she was quite happy with the result. While this wasn't necessarily a secret build - she did have quite a bit of say in the process - she was still quite pleased with the outcome, and judging by what we see here, we can't blame her.
