Suite Platform

Trike-riding Road Glide fans now get the best of both worlds. New for 2023, the Road Glide 3 fuses the iconic sharknose fairing with the stability of a three-wheel platform. With its Milwaukee-Eight 114 and a full suite of Rider Safety Enhancements, the Road Glide 3 packages both style and power, wrapped in what Harley-Davidson dubs “comfort, convenience, and confidence.”

Legacy Age

Three is definitely not a crowd when it comes to the Motor Company's new fixed-fairing trike. The Road Glide 3 saddles up to a legacy that begins with the 1980 Tour Glide, but dates all the way back to 1913 and the short-lived, three-wheel Forecar. Harley-Davidson's trike offering then comes of age with the indomitable Servi-Car in 1931.

Best Buffeting

The Road Glide 3 unwittingly joins the ongoing and unsettled debate of Street Glide versus Road Glide. With its triple splitstream vents, the frame-mounted sharknose fairing is specifically designed to reduce helmet buffeting. Offered alongside the new trike are the steadfast Freewheeler and the luxurious Tri Glide Ultra—for those three-wheeling enthusiasts who insist that the 'batwing' fairing is the best.

Optional Finish

Offered in Vivid Black, Gray Haze, or Bright Billiard Blue, the stunning yet understated Road Glide 3 is sure to hold its own at any bike night. The chrome engine package is standard, but for an extra two-thousand dollars, riders can join the 'dark side.' The optional Black Finish does away with all the shiny parts—everywhere but the wheels.

Thrill Numbers

At the heart of the Road Glide 3 is a Milwaukee-Eight 114—the standard displacement engine for all Harley-Davidson Touring models. Backed by a six-speed transmission and 'slash cut' mufflers, the motor pumps out a healthy 90 horsepower and a neck-straining 120 ft-lb of torque. In Motor Company parlance those numbers translate to thrill-inducing, “passing and horizon-chasing power.”

Reverse Side

The Road Glide 3 is fitted with stylish, contrast cut, aluminum spoke wheels. Measuring 19'' on the front and 18'' on the rear, Harley-Davidson pitches them as “Big, bold, and beautiful.” As with all Motor Company trike offerings, an electric reverse gear is standard—operated from the left handlebar control cluster. A parking brake, mounted at the rear of the left side floorboard, is also standard.

Connectivity Appeal

Rigged with Harley-Davidson's latest Boom! Box GTS infotainment system, being seen and heard are all part of the new trike's appeal. Included is a fairing-mounted 6.5'' color TFT touch-screen display with Bluetooth connectivity and two 5.25'' fairing speakers with 25 watts per channel. Also standard is the Rider Safety Enhancements package which includes a bevy of trike-specific, braking, and traction control.

Company Lineup

The Road Glide 3 might be new to Harley-Davidson, but the concept has been around for quite some time. Three-wheeler enthusiasts have a long history of modifying the Tri Glide and the Freewheeler to accept Road Glide fairings. With the introduction of the sharknose fairing to the trike lineup, the Motor Company makes it official, three really is good company!
