One Cool Tribute
As the most famous stuntman in history, Evel Knievel still has his fair share of fans - many years after his passing. Knievel was known for a lot of things, though chiefly, his amazing ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps and other two-wheeled shenanigans, which have led to the creation of several tribute builds over the years. The latest is this - an incredibly cool Street 500 from the folks at Black Cycles.

Blank Canvas
This particular build was commissioned by a customer of Black Cycles as a Christmas gift for his brother, which seems rather generous. At the time, he gave the Australian custom bike builder a bone stock Street 500 that was basically brand new at that point, a bit of a blank canvas, if you will.

Getting to Work
From there, Black Cycles got to work by first completing a hardtail conversion on the Street 500, then retooling the wheel hub and triple clamps in order to make room for the bike's massive new set of wheels and tires.

Familiar Look
Shortened forks help the Street 500 sit a bit lower to the ground, hugging that big wheel, and Brembo brakes were added to bring it to a halt quickly. Up top, a modified Sportster tank features a flush-mounted filler cap, and sports the familiar patriotic look that Evel Knievel donned in his heyday.

Coolest Feature
From there, we see loads of cool little touches like a modified OEM front fender, coupled with a sprung bobber-style saddle seat, as well as perhaps this bike's coolest feature - an oil tank that actually houses its electronics in one neat little hidden place.

Up Front
Motogadget provided this bike's digital instrumentation, a setup that's flanked by clip-on handlebars and an aftermarket headlight, which is also joined by multi-function LED taillights for a more modern look.

Best Christmas Ever?
In terms of performance upgrades, Black Cycles didn't do much here, only adding a Two Brothers Racing two-in-one exhaust and an S&S intake module, which should help it sound the part, at least. Regardless, this is certainly a cool custom that's one of a kind, and we imagine, one of the greatest Christmas presents ever.
