True Standout

As one of the more iconic models in Harley-Davidson's illustrious lineup, the Fat Boy has been customized in just about every way possible. But as is often the case with talented builders, some always find a way to make a particular bike stand out from the increasingly large crowd, and that's certainly the case with Thunderbike's "Red Force."

Magical Combination

As is usually the case, the Germany-based builder reached into its own parts bin, as well as those of other aftermarket companies, and combined 30+ modifications with an array of custom work such as the paint job to create something that truly stands out.

Starting Fresh

Thunderbike notes that Red Force was built for a customer who has purchased several bikes from its collection, so obviously they know a thing or two about how the process works. Thus, this build started out as a stock Fat Boy, to which Thunderbike added a set of its own Big Speed wheels wrapped in 130/60 front and 260/35 rear Metzeler front rubber.

Menacing Stance

The larger wheels and tires help give the Fat Boy a more menacing stance, which is further aided by an air suspension. They also frame 340mm front floated brake disc calipers. Other highlights here include a single-side 21-inch alu swingarm, a new forward control kit, and a set of Thunderbike's own pegs.

Bit of Flair

Thunderbike also relocated the license plate using its own kit, a signature change from the builder, and added LED lighting for the plate. A GP style chin fairing adds a bit of visual flair, as do Thunderbike's front 23-inch fender and rear 260mm fender.

Finishing Touches

Other various styling upgrades including a new derby cover, handlebars, risers, grips, EFI cover, airbox cover, an ignition coil relocation kit (for a super clean look), timing cover, front axle cover, and battery cover. Finally, the whole thing was covered in a wicked custom paint job from Ingo Kruse.

Sea of Builds

Add it all up, and you've got one cool and unique Fat Boy - and that's really saying something in a world flooded with custom bikes, where many simply copy existing builds instead of trying to be different. But that's obviously never the case with Thunderbike's masterful creations.
