Melk Builds a Wicked Custom Harley Pan America
This gold-themed custom Harley-Davidson Pan America build from Melk is a real head turner.
Impressive Build
A relatively new model, the Harley-Davidson Pan America is the brand's ticket into the adventure bike category, which has been red hot for years now. Thus far, we've seen a handful of modified Pan Americas, but this latest example - dubbed the "Gold Edition" - from the French custom bike builder Melk - is certainly one of the most impressive to date.

Style and Comfort
Of course, the concept behind this particular Pan America build goes beyond mere visual enhancements, as it's designed to be more comfortable and pleasant to ride than the stock model, too.

Engine Mods
In terms of power, the stock Milwaukee-Eight engine has been treated to a stage 1 ECU mapping by Don X Melk Motorcycles, along with a Screamin' Eagle performance air filter and an exhaust system that's been enhanced with a racing silence from SC Projet and a decatalysed collector from Harley-Davidson for a bit more power and sound.

All Terrains
Michelin provided the Pan America's new set of AV Anakee Wild tires, which are designed to provide a comfy ride both on and off the pavement - as well as superior grip in the dirt. To enhance that comfort level further, Melk also gave the bike a custom, cushy seat.

Other Goods
Next Tech provided additional lighting to ensure the new owner can see in all sorts of conditions, while the Pan America also features an SW MOTECH motor guard and extension risers, along with a Wunderlich off-road side stand pad.

Perfect Combination
Along with a short, tinted windshield, the looks of this Pan America have been enhanced with a load of gold accents to complement the matte black paint, and that combination certainly looks like it came that way straight from the factory.

True Standout
Altogether, this gold-themed Pan America is certainly a standout in the crowded world of custom Harleys, and it looks like nothing else we've seen thus far. But then again, given its history of churning out cool customs, we'd expect nothing less from the folks at Melk.
