For the past forty years, Star Racing in Americus, Georgia has been making fast bikes. Long before reality, television shows and celebrity bike-builders, George Bryce and his wife Jackie set out with a simple goal to support the motorcycle drag racing community. Over the decades, Star Racing has become a premier speed shop with a solid reputation based on proven performance.

Maximum Horsepower

Star Power is the street performance division of Star Racing. Focused on hot rodding late-model V-Twins, Star Power offers high-horsepower engine builds in their state-of-the-art machine shop. They confidently claim, “For maximum horsepower, peak performance, and lower E.T.'s — Star Power has the knowledge and the people to give you the machine work you want.”

Race Knowledge

Not content with just spinning wrenches, George Bryce has become a dynamic force in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racing. With over thirty years of experience as a rider and tuner, he is sought after for his expertise. As a team owner, he is credited with developing more new talent than anyone else in the history of the NHRA motorcycle drag racing.

Untested Champion

One of Bryce's notable achievements was putting faith in Angelle (Seeling) Sampey who is now a NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle champion. Star Racing wrote, “Against all odds, and with naysayers at every turn, George took a raw, untested Angelle Seeling and turned her into the most victorious female racer in NHRA history. He has had similar experiences with nearly a dozen other riders.”

Event Wins

Bryce himself has won six NHRA national championships and eighty event wins as a rider, owner, or crew chief in 149 final rounds of competition. His professional highlights include NHRA Pro Stock motorcycle championships in 1990, 1992, 1995, 2000, 2001 and 2002. For thirteen consecutive seasons, from 1990 to 2002, Bryce's teams won the No. 1 or 2 plates in NHRA championship point standings.

Potential Racers

Bryce's passion for racing is untiring. Widely acclaimed for his ability to manage all aspects of a successful racing operation, he has taught Pro Stock motorcycle racing at the NHRA Drag Racing School in Gainesville, Florida. With his depth of knowledge, Bryce is able to impart both the psychological and physical aspects of the sport to potential professional racers.

Jackie Bryce

The trophy wall at George and Jackie's shop is a testament to the couple's dedication. While George gets the racing spotlight, Jackie is well known as a savvy bike tuner, race team manager and promoter. Carrying over her experience with AMA/Prostar Pro Stock, she now runs SEMDRA, the South East Motorcycle Drag Racing Association — one of the top regional race series in the country.

Harley Hop

Racing was partly a business decision for Star Racing — it was good promotion. After almost a decade with the Harley-Davidson Pro Stock team, Star Racing refocused their attention to building streetable performance Baggers. Scores of satisfied clients attest to Star Racing's meticulous work. Putting into practice what they preach, 'Hop-up your Harley' is Star Racing's simple and unassuming slogan.
