Goes All the Way

Thinking about trading-up or looking for the best in touring rides? Harley-Davidson's new Road Glide Limited replaces the Road Glide Ultra model for 2020. In the Grand Touring category, the Road Glide Limited offers luxury touring features with style to match. Available in a dozen new colors with either a chrome or blacked-out Milwaukee-Eight, these premium machines are bound to tempt.

Controlled Comfort

The Motor Company wants you to get out and experience the world. Without modesty, Harley-Davidson claims “We invented the fully dressed touring machine in the 1960s, and no one builds them better.” The 2020 Road Glide Limited lives up to this claim with a new electronic control system, linked antilock brakes, an advanced Infotainment System and built-in ergonomic comfort.

Milwaukee-Eight

The 2020 Road Glide Limited is packed with mile-eating power. At the heart of the touring beast is a Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114. Introduced in 2017, the touring version of the M8 is equipped with liquid-cooled cylinder heads and radiators. Unlike the Twin Cam, the M8 reverts back to the tried and true single-cam design, although it now incorporates an extra set of valves and twin plugs per cylinder.

Confident Control

New for 2020 is the optional Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS). Early dealer reports indicate that the comprehensive $995 add-on has been widely adopted. RDRS is a collection of technologies that provides confidence and control in less-than-ideal situations. The systems utilize advanced chassis control, electronic brake control and powertrain technology that modulates accelerating and braking in various situations.

Safe Destinations

The RDRS is divided into five categories: Advanced Braking, Traction Control Systems, Drag Torque Slip Control, Vehicle Hold Control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The Advanced Braking ABS is now standard on touring models. The Traction Control Systems prevent wheel slippage and features a 'Rain Mode.' Slip Control helps with wheel spin, either on acceleration or rapid downshifting, while the Hold Control locks the brakes when stopped on an incline.

Prodigy Slicer

The ABS Reflex Linked Brembo Brakes are designed to prevent wheel lock in urgent situations. The brakes are mounted on stylish Slicer II cast-aluminum wheels. Shown here are the optional spoke-like Prodigy wheels inspired by European GT race wheels. At approximately $1400 for a complete set, the custom wheel upgrade is available in either a black or bronze finish.

BOOM! Connectivity

Standard on the 2020 Road Glide Limited is the full-color BOOM! Box GTS Infotainment System. Described as an evolved interface, the system “offers a contemporary look, feel and function, with exceptional durability and features designed specifically for motorcycling.” In real-world terms, your tunes never sounded better and navigating new roads and city streets just got a whole lot easier.

Color Choices

The dozen paint options are subdued but eye-catching. A Black Finish option is available for those wanting the sinister 'murdered-out' treatment. Among the muted color choices are an almost brown River Rock Gray and a cooler two-tone gray Silver Pine/Spruce livery. On the brighter end of the scale is a dazzling Scorched Orange/Silver Flux or the Billiard Red/Vivid Black shown here.

Stay in Touch

Harley-Davidson wants to stay in touch with the new H-D Connect service. The smartphone app enables a remote connection with your bike to check its vitals, track its location and get security alerts. The app subscription is free for the first year with a new bike purchase. As the Motor Company states, “Times have never been better for those with an appetite for adventure.” It looks like they mean business.
