Hazan Motorworks Superknuckle Combines Italian Style and American Grunt
Custom bikes that combine the best of all motorcycle worlds are nothing new, but this Knucklehead-powered machine is certainly something special.
Perfect Combo
These days, custom bikes with Harley power and fancy Italian styling are all the rage. And it's easy to see why. Everybody loves a sleek body and a torquey motor, after all. And Hazan Motorworks' latest creation, recently featured over at BikeEXIF, might be one of the more unique such combinations we've seen in a while.

Method to the Madness
Max Hazan, head honcho at Hazan Motorworks, is a pretty creative guy. But how in the world did he come up with such a unique design? "The idea came about after speaking to someone that loved Knucklehead and Vincent engines,"he explained, "and me suggesting that I just make a Knuckle that ran two front cylinder heads."

Birth of an Idea
"I always had a sweet spot for the Harley-Davidson KRTT and XRTT race bikes, so I figured why not build one around a KN motor?" Hazan continued. And thus, this amazing ride, known as "KNTT," was born.

Back to the Future
The build started, of course, with its Knucklehead heart, an S&S Cycle build. Hazan reworked the classic mill so that it would accept front heads and dual carbs, which obviously wasn't an easy task.

Loads of Work
To make all of that work, Hazan had to cut off and rebuild the rear quarter of each head, change the angle of the intake runners, adjust the angle of the pushrods, make custom lifter blocks, shorten and re-angle the rockers, and modify the actual knuckle part of the rocker assembly.

Custom Affair
Of course, an engine that unique couldn't just go into some existing frame. Hazan designed and built his own out of Chromoly from scratch. Royal Enfield forks, re-sprung and upgraded with Teflon bushings, reside upfront. In the rear, you'll find a custom aluminum swingarm hooked up to a Fox pitbike shock.

Mix and Match
18” Morris mags, originally designed for a Kawasaki Z1000, give this machine a nice stance. Z1000 rotors and Wilwood calipers help stop the bike in a hurry, while a left side hand-made heel shifter controls the rear brake.

Interesting Setup
This had to be done because Hazan utilized an older Indian Scout transmission with right side shift at the heel. A homemade clutch actuator resides where a toe-lever would typically be found.

Real Craftsmanship
Everything else on KNTT is equally unique, including all of those beautiful handmade aluminum body panels. Hazan made every single bit of it himself, a real nod to his talent and craftsmanship.

Stand Out
KNTT is a truly unique, high-quality build that really stands out in a large sea of similar concepts. And that's more than enough reason for us to take a few minutes to drool over it, wouldn't you say?
