Go Fast, Look Good

Harley-Davidson's Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection is constantly growing these days, offering fans of the brand a number of cool and unique rides to choose from. The latest is this - the new Fast Johnnie lineup, which consists of three different bikes inspired by hot rodding and the Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Factory Team that competes in King of the Baggers.

Ultra Limited

The Fast Johnnie lineup consists of three different models - the Low Rider ST, the Street Glide ST, and the Road Glide ST - each of which is finished in Celestial Blue paint with white racing stripes. In total, Harley only plans on building around 2,000 of these limited-edition rides, however.

Muscle Car Inspired

Much like other Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection models, the Fast Johnnie lineup is designed to celebrate the brand in general, in this case, by featuring a paint job inspired by hot rods of the 1960s and 1970s, along with the same tank logo that's already in use on Screamin' Eagle's factory racers.

Original Hog

As for the origin of the Fast Johnnie logo itself, it was inspired by the story of Harley racer Ray Weishaar, who famously adopted a piglet named Johnnie back in 1920. That pig soon became the official mascot of the legendary "Wrecking Crew" racers, and is often cited as the source of the "Hog" moniker that is used to refer to Harley-Davidson today.

Perfect Placement

Johnnie made quite a few appearances on the big stage himself, often taking a victory lap on the tank of the Wrecking Crew's bikes following the conclusion of a race. Thus, it makes perfect sense that his logo now resides on the tank of the Fast Johnnie collection.

Pure Americana

“The striping graphic effect is a powerful signal to the generation that came of age during this era, and is still impactful today,” said Brad Richards, Harley Davidson Vice President of Design and Creative Director. “The Celestial Blue base color selected for Fast Johnnie recalls a popular tone from the muscle car era. For the graphic striping, we created a custom white color formulated to authentically reflect the era, executed in a classic thin-wide-thin pattern on the sides and top of the motorcycle bodywork. The look is a nod to pure Americana.”

Cool Creation

In addition to the paint and the Johnnie logo, these limited-edition rides also feature an Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection logo on the rear fender, while "Harley-Davidson" script replaces one of the thin stripe elements on the tank and front fender. It's a nice look for certain, as well as a cool nod to Harley's past, making it a pretty desirable offering in our book.
