Big Changes
The Harley-Davidson Museum is an ever-evolving entity, a space that changes constantly with new exhibits and cool pieces of history that keep people coming back. The museum's most recent changes go beyond normal, however, and include a host of new exhibits and a larger retail space for shoppers.

Moving Around
For starters, the H-D Museum's retail space - dubbed "The Shop" is tripling in size, while Harley is also planning to open an exclusive shopping area called the "Factory Shop" as well. The Shop will be moving into the old 9,284-square-foot space that had housed MoCo's event venue dubbed The Garage, which is moving into a brand new 8,200-square-foot building.

Expanded Offerings
Thanks to its massive new space, The Shop will offer 150 new products and host experiences including Serial 1 e-bike demos and IRONe electric balance bikes. The Factory Shop will reside inside the old space it's leaving behind, selling discontinued products such as helmets, gloves, and jackets.

Updated Experience
In total, the Harley-Davidson Museum will soon tout a whopping 13,000 square feet of retail space, but that isn't the only change on the horizon. The museum is also working on updating its Experience Gallery - one of nine permanent exhibits there - which will let visitors sit on Harley's Freedom Machine and hear "stories from riders who have turned their dream of learning to ride into reality."

Solidified Investment
"This investment signifies our commitment to Milwaukee and the Menomonee Valley," said Bill Davidson, vice president of the H-D Museum. "With Milwaukee making its mark on the global stage, we're excited to unveil these new additions to campus later this spring and welcome everyone to check them out in person."

Coming Soon
These changes are just the latest to Harley's 20-acre riverfront Museum property, which is located at 400 W. Canal St. The Museum broke ground on its new space for The Garage last summer, with a planned opening date sometime this spring.
