Harley recently pulled the covers off its brand-new 2021 lineup, and there are quite a few interesting tidbits to examine here. Today, we'll take a closer look at the revised 2021 Street Glide Special, a fan favorite for quite some time now. The latest version of the Street Glide Special isn't trying to reinvent the wheel, but there are quite a few updates worth checking out.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
For 2021, Harley's Street Glide Special gains Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, which is great news for a lot of folks who use their phone's music services and navigation. Unfortunately, wireless connectivity is not available, but the smartphone apps are integrated directly into the bike's Boom! GTS color touchscreen infotainment system.

New Equipment
The 2021 Street Glide Special is equipped with a new Daymaker LED headlight that should make night driving a little more tolerable, as well as a standard low-profile engine guard that provides a bit more peace of mind while you're out riding.

Color Options
Perhaps the most significant news about the 2021 Street Glide Special pertains to the bike's many color and finish options, however. Buyers can choose between two finishes - chrome and black - as well as five colors - Vivid Black, Billiard Red, Black Jack Metallic, Gauntlet Gray, and Snake Venom.

Mechanicals
The 2021 Street Glide Special is powered by Harley's 114-inch Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin, which produces 118 pound-feet of torque. It's backed up by a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. The bike utilizes a Showa 49mm Dual Bending Valve up front and Emulsion shocks with hand-adjustable spring-preload in the rear, and features 300mm disc brakes at both ends with four-piston calipers.
