Getting Better

With Harley-Davidson's refreshed 2021 motorcycle lineup hitting dealers, shoppers are already faced with a variety of new and revised choices. One of our personal favorites, however, is the CVO Road Glide, a comfy and good-looking touring model that has only gotten better for the new model year thanks to a host of enhancements that we will outline here.

New Wheels

The 2021 CVO Road Glide rides on a brand new set of 18-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels that are exclusive to the model. They feature a combo wire-spoke and cast-aluminum rim design with a front suspension specially-tuned to compensate for the large wheel. And another fun fact - the CVO Road Glide is the only model in Harley's 2021 touring lineup that gets a 21-inch front wheel.

Cranking the Tunes

Also new for 2021 is the CVO Road Glide's Rockford Fosgate/Harley-Davidson Stage II stereo system, which features three-way speakers - a woofer, mid-range driver, and bridge-mounted tweeter. The speakers are powered by a four-channel, 400-watt amp, while the Rockford Fosgate app in the Boom! Box GTS infotainment system allows owners to tweak the sound.

Form Over Function

For 2021, Harley-Davidson chose to go with form over function in terms of the bags used on the CVO Road Glide, which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you use it. MoCo replaced the extended-length bags with standard ones, which cuts down on the storage space but helps out in the looks department.

Other Changes

Other more minor yet welcome changes to the 2021 CVO Road Glide include a new LED console light and new instrument faces, which are more sleek and modern in appearance. Subtle changes, of course, but also little things that owners will appreciate while out on the road.

Color Options

The 2021 CVO Road Glide comes in your choice of three different color schemes, each with its own unique flavor - Sunset Orange and Sunset Black Fade with satin chrome finishes, Black Hole with gloss black and black onyx finishes, and Bronze Armor with smoked satin and gloss black finishes.

Pricing

The 2021 CVO Road Glide features an MSRP of $41,399 and continues to be powered by the venerable Milwaukee-Eight powerplant that produces a healthy 126 pound-feet of torque. That's a lot of dough for a two-wheeler, but this model represents the top of the food chain when it comes to comfy and stylish touring bikes.
