Bolt-Ons Make This Street Glide Special Extra Special
Hot Bike built their very own hopped up Street Glide Special using nothing more than common hand tools, and it turned out killer.
Spiffy up Your Street Glide
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is, well, a special touring machine as is, straight off the showroom floor. But as we already know, not a single person on earth leaves their Harley stock for more than one minute after riding it home. And if you're searching for ways to spiffy up your new SGS, Hot Bike has a few great ideas on how to do it.

Extra Space
The build kicked off with Harley's brand new Limited Series Grandstand paint set. Hot Bike utilized the entire kit, which also includes an extra fairing and chopped Tour-Pak. This easily detachable piece is great for those who need extra storage space for longer rides but don't want to step up to an Ultra or Limited.

Power Boost
The next step was to seek out some performance upgrades. Instead of opting for a cam this time around, Hot Bike "settled" for a Screamin' Eagle Stage 1 upgrade for the Milwaukee-Eight. With just an air cleaner, exhaust, and ECU remap, they managed to gain around 3 hp. But even better, the engine's peak torque occurs lower in the rpm range now.

Going big
The exhaust gives this previously quiet SGS a nice rumble, and throttle response was reportedly much better than stock. And if you want more power, you can always opt for the Torque or Power kits. Both come with a lumpier cam, as well as adjustable pushrods that make installation much simpler.

Stand Out
Next, Hot Bike wanted to really make their SGS stand out visually. So they went with Grandstand's paint set, which mixes flat black with orange and brushed aluminum. This set is also limited to 150 individually numbered units for 2019 Touring models, so there's a good chance you'll be the only one around with this particular look.

Quick Job
All of these upgrades are simple bolt-ons you can swap out with basic tools, which makes this build even more appealing to the average Joe. After all, we want to get our bikes done as quickly as possible instead of spending months worth of weekends in the garage. That way, we can get out and actually enjoy them, right?
