Bikers Flying the Flag for the 4th of July
Is there anything more American than Harley-Davidson and the Stars and Stripes?
1. Harley-Davidson's 110th Anniversary
This uber-patriotic ride was spotted cruising the streets of Milwaukee during Harley-Davidson's 110th-anniversary celebration. And if you think a Harley looks good with one flag out back, we think it looks even better with dozens of them. The fact that it happened during the anniversary celebration of one of America's finest institutions just adds icing to the proverbial cake.
2. New Glory Flag Bike Team
The New Glory Flag Bike Team consists of seven Harley-Davidson motorcycles (and their owners), each one sporting 50 flags. One for every state, naturally. The group routinely participates in long-distance rides such as the Wild Prairie Harley Owners Group's annual Memorial Day trip to Washington, DC. Which probably isn't easy on a bike adorned with flags supported by a frame held together with duct tape and hose clamps. Regardless, we salute them for their efforts!
3. Nation of Patriots
Over 100 bikers helped escort this flag to Zylstra Harley-Davidson in Elk River, Minnesota. The ride was part of a nation-wide annual tour by the Nation of Patriots, a group of 1,500 riders who carry the stars & stripes across 48 states and 14,000 miles to honor our nation's military veterans.
4. Drive-Ins and Other Americana
What's more American than a Harley-Davidson sporting our nation's flag? How about all of the above sitting at a vintage drive-in theater? All you need is beer and a hot dog, and you're all set.
5. Rolling Tribute
As patriotic as Harley owners tend to be, it's no surprise that many of our own HD Forums members choose to display the stars & stripes on a regular basis. Like hogowner69, who shows off his pride with a triple flag mount on his trike.
