Without Rival

For 2020, Harley-Davidson Querétaro in Mexico came out on top  with their stunning entry known as "Apex Predator." The goal of the bike, built by Oscar Peralta, stemmed from his desire to create what he deemed the ultimate Sportster XR1200. Thus, Peralta's team operated under the mantra "Born to attack without a challenge. Born to live without rival."

Unique Skills

Starting with a stock Sportster, the crew immediately began to work on creating a new, more aggressive appearance for the Harley that was also unique. A handcrafted 2-1-2 under-seat exhaust, vented hand-built tail unit, and one-off upswept exhaust are pure showcases for the team's unique technical abilities.

Notable Design Features

Other notable design features include the flowing line from the wave brake disc rotors, as well as the upside-down Showa big piston forks up front. The hand and foot controls are also custom-made, and the Alcantara-covered seat is a hand-finished piece of art all by itself.

Bespoke Body

The Apex Predator utilizes a slew of bespoke bodywork, including twin air intakes that complement the newly aggressive stance of the Sportster. After all of this work was finished, the body was coated in rather attractive Sterling Green paintwork, with plenty of powder-coating that complements it perfectly.

Finding Inspiration

King of Kings never fails to disappoint, perennially showing off the incredible diversity and blank canvas that Harley's motorcycle lineup presents. And personally, we find it to be a pretty great way to find ideas for customizing our own bikes. And you can bet that this global showcase of talent won't lack for that moving forward.
