Protect Your Head

As most motorcycle riders are well aware, helmets are a great way to protect oneself while cruising around, even if many prefer not to wear one. We certainly won't knock folks for neglecting that type of protection, but for those that choose to wear a helmet, it's quite obvious that there are a wide array of choices out there, which can make choosing the right one a difficult task. Thus, we've narrowed that list down to six solid helmet options available right now.

Capstone Sun Shield II H31

First up, we have the Capstone Sun Shield II H31, which retails for $275. It's a great-looking and rather popular piece that has great reviews, as well as dual-certified DOT safety standards, a shield replacement system, and a Bluetooth communications system. Thanks to its lightweight construction and Advanced Polycarbonate Composite Shell, the Capstone is comfy to wear on long rides, too.

Shoei RF-SR

Next up, we have the Shoei RF-SR, which is a bit pricier at $399. However, it's designed specifically for long-term comfort, as it insulates road noise while providing plenty of ventilation for those warmer rides. At the same time, its slick, aerodynamic design helps reduce wind buffeting and the resulting neck strain, which is always a good thing for long rides.
