Big Screen Stars

Harley-Davidson motorcycles have appeared in more movies than one can possibly count over the past several decades, including classics that helped the brand skyrocket to fame, such as Easy Rider. However, Harleys continue to star in a number of movies today, with many of them playing prominent roles in those films - such as these five we've highlighted here.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The first movie on our list is Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which came out in 2014 and starred a Harley-Davidson Street 750. At that time, the Street 750 was a brand new product, which made it a sensible move, though in all fairness, Captain America himself has long been a fan of Harleys and has ridden quite a few of them on the big screen over the years, too.

Captain America: The First Avenger

Our second appearance from the same Marvel series is the iconic, military-famous WLA that starred in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger. While this pairing may seem a bit strange at first, that particular movie was based on World War II - in which the WLA played a big role - though in this case, the four bikes used in the movie weren't real-deal WLAs, which are quite valuable today.

Green Hornet

In 2011's Green Hornet - another comic book adaptation - the now-discontinued Harley V-Rod was a star, though in this case, it was the ride of choice not for the movie's main character, but his sidekick - Kato. It wasn't stock either, as the V-Rod in the film featured an array of modifications including aftermarket wheels and a matte black paint job.

Hell Ride

In 2008, Hell Ride debuted on the big screen with a full array of cool motorcycles throughout. The one that stands out, however - at least to us - is this Harley-Davidson Shovelhead chopper that's a full-blown custom in every way - making it a perfect fit for movie star status.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Finally, we have Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was released back in 2008. While Harrison Ford is the big draw here as has historically been the case for this franchise, the movie also starred a very cool Softail Springer fitted with old-fashioned upgrades to fit the film's timeline of 1957 - a bike that even saw use in an exciting chase scene.
