5 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles To Seek Out as Investments
These 5 Harley-Davidson motorcycles are under appreciated, potential future investments.
Worth Seeking Out
While most of us buy Harley-Davidson motorcycles with the intention of, well, riding them, it's always nice to own something that appreciates in value, rather than depreciating. In that regard, there are a few potential future classics one can seek out, bikes that are currently underappreciated, but likely to gain in popularity - and value - over the coming years. Here are a few worth considering.

V-Rod
First up, we have a fan favorite in the V-Rod, which was sold between 2002-2017. The appeal here is that the V-Rod is not a traditionally styled Harley by any means, and instead, still looks pretty futuristic and muscular even today, decades after its debut. Given today's pricing - which ranges from $11k-$20k or more depending on mileage and condition - the V-Rod certainly feels like a bike that will one day be a sought-after collectible for those reasons, particularly since it remains a popular entity among H-D fans.

XLCH Sportster
The Sportster is one of the longer-running and more iconic models in Harley's lineup, even if some are quick to dismiss it as an "entry-level beginners bike." Most Sportsters are underrated as a result, and that even includes the XLCH, which was sold from 1958-1969. With pricing ranging from just $5k up to a bit less than $20k, this classically styled two-wheeler is only going to become rarer - and more expensive, we'd wager.

FLH Electra Glide
Next up, we have another fantastic classic - the FLH Electra Glide, which was sold between 1955 and 1984. This old-school touring machine is comfortable to ride and nice to look at, and it was a bit of a groundbreaker thanks to its batwing fairing. However, you can still find nice used examples ranging from $7-$20k, making this a solid target as a bike that you can ride and enjoy without worrying about losing much, if any, money.

Duo Glide
The Duo Glide - built from 1958-1964 - is another compelling classic that was also groundbreaking thanks to its rear suspension, which essentially transformed the Harley-Davidson motorcycle as we know it. The Duo Glide is also a great-looking classic that can be had for somewhere between $12k and $28k to this day.

XR1200
Finally, we have a bit of a wild card in the XR1200, which is about as non-traditional as Harleys get. In recent years, we've seen racing-inspired bikes increase in value and popularity, but the XR1200 is a newer machine compared to the bike that inspired it - the XR750 - and it was only produced between 2008 and 2012. With current values hovering between $6k-$12k, it's hard to find a cooler used bike for the money, that's for sure.
