Default 21" front wheel on 2014 FLHXS?

I have an HD dealer telling me that they can't install any different size of wheel, other than what came on it stock, on a 2014 Street Glide Special (or any model equipped from the factory with Reflex linked ABS brakes). Does anyone know if this true?

Harley states: "When linked braking is active, applying the front, rear or both brake controls will apply braking force to both the front and rear brakes in a proportion determined by the Reflex Linked Brakes system to optimize performance. The braking will stay linked as speed drops below the 20-25 mph threshold. Reflex Linked Brakes incorporates ABS to further help the rider maintain control during braking events, especially those that happen in less-than-optimal conditions." Therefore, the dealer is saying when those diameters, or dimensions change, the Reflex Linked braking proportions are compromised. I suppose this could affect warranty, or perhaps liability if something happened.

I am putting on 21x3.25 on front and 17x6.5 on rear with a 200 rear tire. My dealer says this is no problem. Should have them installed this wek as my bike just came in.

Is yours also a 2014 with the new Reflex braking? If so, please keep me posted.

Sorry I haven't been on this forum for awhile. Eveything is installed and ready to go. Yes I have a '14 FLHXS. The only thing that was needed was a front fender relocator. That is just a bracket that raises the fender. Hope this helps you out.

Let's see some pics of your 21's. Perhaps it would be better to start your own thread.

This is all that is needed with a 21" front wheel as the 14 front fender sits lower than the 2013 front fender. Linked braking makes no difference. ABS or NON ABS does matter but the wheel can be configured for either very easily. If you are looking for a place who knows wheels we can help. That is what we do. Give us a call. Happy New Year.

I'd like to see pics of the 21-18 combo with fender spacer.
