Default 2012 Fatboy front brake problem

I have a 2012 FB Lo with ABS. A while back, the front brake lever would pull almost to the handlebar first thing in the morning. I'd pump it up and it would be fine. However, after a while, the front brakes began to drag. The fluid looked terrible, so I took it to my local guy who put new fluid in and bled the brakes. Now it is worse. When I am on the road, I pull the brake lever and it is firm for a few seconds, then goes soft. Also... the dragging is worse.

Any idea what is going on here? I'm at a bit of a loss.

So am I! Get to either a more competent indy or your dealer asap. It's very difficult to diagnose such problems over the internet and you have a serious safety issue there! Best of luck sorting it out.

It will likely be a couple weeks before I can get to the dealer. I'll post what I find... but in the mean time, if someone else knows something... I'm all ears!!

Try this, take a zip ty and depress the brake lever like you are braking hard but don't go crazy. Zip ty the lever to the grip and leave it over night. If there is any air in the fluid this will help work it out by itself. This is what motocross riders do to keep their brake firm and fresh. Worth a shot.
