I was given a really nice set of wheels and wide white walls off a 08 Road king and was wanting to out them on my 02 Electra glide. I have been told 2 or 3 different things about changing bearings, axles, it wont work.....I have searched here and other places and haven't found one definite answer. Any help would be appreciated!

 

If your 02 wheels have ballrace wheel bearings they are 1" ID, the 08 wheels have 25mm ID bearings. You can swap bearings in your new wheels from 25mm to 1" by using HD wheel installation kits, available from your local friendly dealer. The kits come with the correct bearings and axle spacer (for inside the hub). Call into the Touring forum here, where you should find much more info on this subject.
