I recently gave my 87 FXLR a face lift, new paint, front wheel (powder coat rim and hub with stainless spokes) and various other chrome parts and glitter. But I have yet to do the rear wheel and I would like to keep the solid aluminum wheel. The center of the wheel is rough gray looking cast aluminum and I was wondering if anyone has tried to polish up the rough center of the wheel by bead blasting etc. I would like to have the center brighter and then I would polish the outer part of the wheel and have it all clear coated. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
