Default Rubbing sound - Why??

There is a rubbing sound from the front of my 2004 VRSCB that has 989 miles on it. The rubbing sound goes away when the front brake it applied. I don't think the bearing is bad... would the pads be bad already?

What can be causing this noise?

Thats just the sound of youre pads barely touching the rotor. When you pull on the lever the pads firmly grip the rotor, making the noise stop. Its nothing to worry about.

Nope, not a problem. Every Harley I have ridden does this. It is the brake pads riding on rotor. If there is no drag with wheel when raised and spun, noise is common and no fix needed.
