Default Beware billet boys

First off i want to warn everybody i spent $1800 dollars for a set of billet boys wheels only to have a front hub fall apart. I asked for a replacment and was told sure for full retail $350 plus shipping, spokes , building the rim , and tire mounting. If you want a quality rim and stands behind there product please to not buy anything from BILLET BOYS. This rim almost cost me my life and they cant do anything special for there customer!

Whoa! I was lookin at that pic and wonder how that could not be a manufacturing defect! Looks to me like metal fatigue, hairline crack in the original blank, or the hub, where the spokes attach, was milled too thin. Of course, on the other hand, I could also argue that by improper spoke installation and truing, that you could cause this to happen. Did the hub, and rim come pre-assembled? Nah! Bad manufacturing. Looks like a warranty claim to me.

Good luck and thanks for passing this along.

The rims were built by billet boys. They have a one year to file a claim. But myself and everybody that looked at the rim can see its a defect on billet boys part. None of the spokes are broken. I would have even been happy if they would have sold me one at cost or even any discount ! But they said no we cant help you and didnt even care about the failure!! But to say i will sell you one @ full retail $350 plus shipping, spokes, build rim ,and mount and dismount tire !

That really sucks. I'm glad you and your boy are OK. Must have been a really big scare when it happened. This company doesn't appear to be very reputable. Thanks for passing this along. I'm one person who they won't be calling "customer".

Good luck with the claim.
